Class Description

Feeling stressed, overwhelmed and or anxious? This class brings together two of yoga's most nourishing and restorative practices. Restorative Yoga is all about using lots of props to make the body comfortable. We use a combination of blankets, cushions and blocks to hold the body in poses for 5 minutes or longer. This all helps the body to let go of deep seated stress. This gorgeous practice takes place mostly laying down, and helps the nervous system to relax. Yoga Nidra literally translates to Yogic Sleep. This restorative practice guides the body and mind to that place between waking and sleep, allowing both body and mind to move into deep relaxation. Check out our blog page for more on Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. This practice is suitable for anyone who can get down on the floor, movements are purposefully slow. This practice requires more space in the studio so the class is capped at 10 students.
